Kenneth Orr is pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies at the University of North Florida, where he earned a spot in Jazz Ensemble 1, the flagship ensemble of the program, during his freshman year. Through the ensemble, he has performed at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, the Jazz Education Network Conference in Atlanta, and the Savannah Jazz Festival. He has also performed with artists including Billy Childs, Sean Jones, New York Voices, and Mike Tomaro.

Kenneth has been playing saxophone and clarinet for eight years. While in high school, he won numerous awards for jazz performance and was selected for the All-State High School Jazz Band. He later won first place in the Bob Washington Jazz Scholarship competition. Outside of school, he regularly performs professionally at private events, restaurants, and concerts.

Kenneth is excited to start his teaching career. He is convinced that musicians at any level can enjoy improvisation and is committed to making music fun for all students. Students will learn saxophone/clarinet fundamentals, music theory basics, and how to learn and apply jazz vocabulary.
